Dr. Rachel Kuester
Veterinarian – DVM
Dr. Kuester has been an animal lover as long as she can remember. She began working in veterinary medicine at 17 years of age as an assistant and continued to work in the field while attending veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced across the country in small animal general practices, and most recently as an urgent care veterinarian. Dr. Kuester treats dogs, cats and small mammals such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and rodents. She is passionate about low stress handling and creating a positive experience. She is an advocate for client communication and education, and is happy to answer your questions regarding your pet’s health and wellbeing. Dr. Kuester looks forward to working with you and bringing compassionate, affordable, high quality medicine to you and your pets!
Dr. Michelle Rivera
Veterinarian – MZV
Dr. Rivera received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Guadalajara in 2013. She brings more than a decade of experience in companion animal medicine to our team. Her primary professional interests are the medicine and surgery of dogs and cats, with a particular passion for soft tissue surgery. During her off time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and caring for her two cats. She is currently completing the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification program to obtain her veterinary license in the United States. Dr. Rivera habla español.
Dr. Andee Cooper
Veterinarian – DVM
Dr. Andee Cooper was born and raised in Ely, Nevada and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University. After successfully owning and operating her own veterinary practice for several years, Dr. Cooper made the decision to sell her practice so she could return to what has always been her greatest passion-practicing high-quality, gold- standard medicine and surgery. Known for her exceptional medical and surgical skills, Dr. Cooper is equally admired for her warmth, kindness, and genuine compassion. She takes the time to build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring they feel heard, informed, and supported throughout every stage of their pet’s care. Her dedication to excellence, gentle nature, and unwavering commitment to her patients make her an invaluable part of our team.
Robin
Practice Manager
Robin’s journey in the veterinary field began over 10 years ago when she started as a receptionist at Truckee Meadows in 2012. She then transitioned into a full-time assistant role with Dr. Sara in 2014, and has been an invaluable part of our team ever since. Robin has a deep passion for helping animals and finds joy in watching pets thrive under our care. As she puts it, “There is no better feeling than when a pet comes in really sick and seeing it recover to go on and live a happy life.”
A proud native Nevadan, Robin loves spending her free time outdoors with her husband and son. At home, she shares her life with Chip, a Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was found running around Moana and was adopted into her family. Recently, she also welcomed a bearded dragon named Goldie into her home, adding another member to her growing family!
Lynsey
Lead Client Service Representative
Lynsey joined our team in June of 2025. She has quickly become an integral part of our team with her welcoming smile and knowledge of animal care. She has over 15 years of experience working in the veterinary field, including 8 years with animal control, where she gained extensive knowledge and hands-on skills in animal care and welfare. She loves working in the field because it allows her to combine her passion for animals with a purpose that truly makes a difference every day. As she says “There’s nothing more rewarding than being part of a team that helps pets heal, comforts their families, and advocates for those who can’t speak for themselves. Every day brings something new. Whether it is helping a nervous pet feel safe or educating owners about proper care. It is a career that challenges me, fulfills me, and continually reminds me why compassion, patience, and dedication are at the heart of everything I do.”
Her love for animals extends to her own home, where she shares life with two rescued hound dogs, Maebelle and Earl, both 4 years old and full of personality. Alongside her partner, they also run a small shop at the Painted Tree, where they showcase and sell their handcrafted creations, from unique jewelry to custom crafts, blending their passion for creativity with their love for community.
Emily
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Emily joined our team in the spring of 2023, but she’s been a part of the veterinary industry since 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science with an emphasis in Animal Science and recently earned her Associate’s in Veterinary Technology in 2024. Emily officially became a licensed technician in the fall of 2024. What she loves most about working in the field is the opportunity to work with animals of all different species, which keeps each day exciting and fulfilling.
At home, Emily has a German Shorthair Pointer and Springer Spaniel mix named Harley, who keeps her company. Outside of work, Emily is an avid horseback rider—horses are her favorite animal! She also enjoys playing volleyball whenever she gets the chance, making the most of her weekends filled with adventure and activity.
Jenn
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jenn joined our team in April 2024 as a relief technician and quickly became an essential part of the clinic, transitioning to a full-time role that winter. With over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field, she is passionate about providing top-notch care to her patients and is always eager to learn and grow in her profession. She earned her degree in Animal Health Technology from Olds College in Canada and is dedicated to becoming the best technician she can be.
Originally from Canada, Jenn holds dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Canada. She loves spending time in Tahoe, soaking in the beauty of the area with her kids, and traveling back home whenever she can to visit family. At home, she shares her life with two kitties, Bluey and Bingo, and a charming Hotot rabbit named Bugsy. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her enjoying a good cup of coffee from a local café.
Lindsey
Veterinary Assistant
Lindsey joined our team in August of 2024. Her favorite part of working in vet med is helping animals heal and strengthening the human-animal bond. Her long-term career goal is to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician through her schooling at Truckee Meadows Community College. She previously graduated from Feather River College in Quincy, CA, and holds an Associate’s in Equine Studies, Ranch Skills, and Colt Starting.
Lindsey is originally from Bishop, CA. At home she has an adorable Frenchie named Henry and a horse named Ruby. When she isn’t busy working, Lindsey enjoys line dancing and being a horse instructor at a local stable in town.
