Dr. Rachel Kuester
Veterinarian – DVM
Dr. Kuester has been an animal lover as long as she can remember. She began working in veterinary medicine at 17 years of age as an assistant and continued to work in the field while attending veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced across the country in small animal general practices, and most recently as an urgent care veterinarian.
Dr. Kuester treats dogs, cats, and small mammals such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and rodents. She is passionate about low-stress handling and creating a positive experience. She is an advocate for client communication and education and is happy to answer your questions regarding your pet’s health and well-being.
Dr. Kuester looks forward to working with you and bringing compassionate, affordable, high-quality medicine to you and your pets!
Dr. Adrian Gammon
Veterinarian – BVMS
Working on her undergrad degree at UNR, Dr. Adrian decided an overseas veterinary school would be a great idea and completed her course in Perth, Australia, at the fantastic Murdoch University. This has given her the funny letters after her name (it’s way more fun than ‘DVM’ she likes to say) and the insistence to spell things with extra letters – like colour and neighbour.
She loves a fear-free and feline-friendly approach, and loves seeing small mammals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters, but she will refer all surgery cases – “only medicine for me” she’s been known to say but brings many years of experience to care for your pets.
Shelby
Senior Client Service Representative & Social Media/Advertising Manager
Shelby started her veterinary journey in 2014 when she joined our staff as a part time veterinary assistant. She then moved on to become Dr. Grinsell’s full time assistant after graduating with her pre-vet degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2017. She then started pursuing a veterinary technician license, but unfortunately ended up leaving the field for a bit due to personal reasons. She came back as our senior client service representative and front office manager when Dr. Kuester took over the practice in December of 2020. She is also in charge of all the social media and website presence for the clinic.
When not at work, Shelby spends most of her free time hanging out with her husband and their 3 dogs – Harley, Archer & Maverick – and their cat, Flynn. She is very artistic and loves drawing, writing, videography and social media as well.
Robin
Senior Veterinary Assistant
Robin started in the veterinary field over 10 years ago, starting at Truckee Meadows as a receptionist in 2012. She then moved on to being Dr. Sara’s full-time assistant in 2014. She has a huge passion for helping animals and loves seeing pets flourish with our care. She says, “there is no better feeling than when a pet comes in really sick and seeing it recover and go on to live a happy life.”
Robin is a native Nevadan and loves spending her free time in the outdoors with her husband and son. She has a chihuahua/terrier mix named Chip, who joined her family after he was found running around Moana! She also recently welcomed a bearded dragon named Goldie into her family.
Brooke
Veterinary Assistant
Brooke started shadowing our veterinary assistants in 2021 after graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s in biology. We loved her so much that we hired her on as a full-time veterinary assistant just a month later. This is her first job in the field, and she has done an amazing job acclimating and learning all that she can.
When we asked her what her favorite part of her job is, she said: “I love seeing all the animals and seeing the progress they make if it’s a client we have been working with a lot.” She is hoping to one day obtain her vet tech license.
Brooke has 3 dogs – a dachshund named Murray, a golden retriever/german shepherd mix named Koba, and another shepherd mix named Lady of the Lake. She loves hiking with them in the warmer months. In the winter, she spends a lot of her free time snowboarding. She also loves to travel any opportunity she gets.
Danna
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Danna joined the TMVH family in fall of 2023, but she’s been in the veterinary field since January of 2018. She got her bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary science, received her veterinary technician license, and is currently pursing a master’s in public health. She hopes to eventually go to vet school and get her DVM. Her long term goal is to open a low cost clinic to help low income families and the homeless. Her favorite part of her job is her understanding of medicine and functions in the body. She also enjoys treating and sending home happy & healthy patients.
In her free time, Danna enjoys kickboxing, hiking and crochet. She spends most of her time hanging out with her partner, Bryce, and their plethora of fur babies – they have 2 dogs named Daisy & Quinn and 5 cats – Winston, Pablo, Franny, Luna & Catalina – and they also foster kittens occasionally.
Emily
Veterinary Technician in Training
Emily joined our team in spring of 2023, but has been in the veterinary industry since 2018. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in agricultural science with an emphasis in animal science, and also received her associate’s in veterinary technology in 2024. Her favorite part of working in the field is getting to work with animals of all different species.
Emily has one dog at home – a german shorthair pointer and springer spaniel mix named Harley. She spends most of her weekends horseback riding, as horses are her favorite animal. She also enjoys playing volleyball whenever she has spare time.
